Israeli Cooking
We will begin our month of celebration by cooking (and eating!) a variety of Israeli delicacies together.
Saturday, May 10, 7 PM
Israeli Film Night
This special event will include a double feature of leading Israeli films. We will screen Walk on Water, a provocative film that deals with the longlasting legacy of the Holocaust and the prospects for peace in today’s Israel. Then, after a break for refreshments, we will view Ushpizin, an important film that provides a view into the religious life of Israel.

Lecture & Discussion: The Natural Wonders of Israel
The land of Israel is a remarkable place, with mountains and seashore, deserts and forests. We will discuss the challenges to sustaining Israel’s natural environment and what we can do to make a difference.

Zman Lidaber Ivrit: A Night of Hebrew Study
On this night, we will join together in Hebrew study at all levels…classes will include an introduction to the aleph-bet, a class in prayerbook Hebrew, and a chug ivri/conversation circle.

We are honored to host Mr. Tamir, a leading government official and security expert, for a night of conversation and learning.

RI Community-Wide Israel Festival
We will join together with the entire RI Jewish community in a daylong celebration. The event will take place at Roger Williams Park.
